What does Surgite do?

We do liturgical dance, which is dance done as a part of a worship service. We lead workshops for people of all ages. We also perform song-and-dance concerts in nursing homes, assisted living communities, and Alzheimer’s/dementia facilities.

What does the word "Surgite" mean?

"Surgite" means "all of you, arise!" It’s a Latin word, the plural imperative of the verb that means, "to arise."

How do I pronounce "Surgite"?

SUR gee tay. (If you’re a ballet dancer, it rhymes with "tour jete.")
